MUNCIE, IN – Two conservative outsiders – Jonathan Lamb, who is running for the GOP nomination to Indiana’s 6th District and Mike Braun, who is a GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate – are co-hosting a series of meet and greets Tuesday on a 12-hour tour that takes them from Columbus to Muncie and three stops in between.
Both are successful business owners and both are self-funding their campaigns and are not beholden to any special interest groups in Washington. The whirlwind driving tour takes the GOPers to five different locations, seeking input from voters and giving them a chance to talk about issues they are important to the future of the country.
“Washington, D.C. is failing the American people and Indiana families,” Lamb says. “Special interests and career politicians are pushing bad policies without any real-world experience in running businesses or creating jobs. As an entrepreneur, I have experienced success and failure. I know the struggles of starting a business and how difficult it is to not only create jobs and grow a company, but just to make ends meet in our current political environment. We don’t need policies that are centered around handing out jobs and subsidies, but rather policies centered around creating opportunities for people and businesses to thrive.”
Lamb is seeking the seat held now by Rep. Luke Messer, who is running for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate against Braun. Both are taking on incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly.
On Tuesday, March 27, the two will be traveling the 6th Congressional District, making the stops in the following locations:
- Columbus, IN – 9:15 am to 10:45 a.m.
Lincoln Square Pancake House, 2315 W Jonathan Moore Pike, Columbus, IN 47201
- Shelbyville, IN – Noon to 1:30 p.m.
